AWARD CEREMONY, EXHIBITION OF WORKS, AND CATALOG

The eight winners will receive their awards during a ceremony to be held on Friday, June 24, in the auditorium of the Cristobal Gabarron Foundation.

The exhibition of the 250 selected works, including the winners of the National Painting Contest "The Tree, Source of Life," with the theme of Nature and Ecology, will remain on display at the Queen Sofia Children Art Museum until June 30, 2005.

The Cristobal Gabarron Foundation and the QSCAM, with the sponsorship of El Árbol, have successfully aligned with the Kyoto Protocol program to bring awareness to children about the environmental challenges facing our planet, particularly the serious impacts of pollution and uncontrolled waste on human life. Through the distribution of the educational booklet Nature and Ecology among students, the exhibition of the 250 selected works, and the forthcoming publication of a catalog featuring reproductions of the exhibited pieces, the contest organizers are pleased to see their environmental education goals achieved.

ENTREGA DE PREMIOS, EXPOSICIONES Y CATÁLOGO

La exposición de las 250 obras seleccionadas, entre las que se encuentran las ganadoras del Certamen Nacional de Pintura «El árbol, fuente de vida», con el tema Naturaleza y Ecología, permanecerá expuesta en la Pinacoteca Infantil Reina Sofía hasta el 30 de junio de 2005.

La Fundación Cristóbal Gabarrón y la PIRS, con el patrocinio de El Árbol, se han alineado con éxito con el programa del Protocolo de Kioto para concienciar a los niños sobre los retos medioambientales a los que se enfrenta nuestro planeta, en particular los graves impactos de la contaminación y los residuos incontrolados sobre la vida humana. Mediante la distribución del folleto educativo Naturaleza y Ecología entre los estudiantes, la exposición de las 250 obras seleccionadas y la próxima publicación de un catálogo con reproducciones de las piezas expuestas, los organizadores del concurso se congratulan de ver cumplidos sus objetivos de educación medioambiental.
